Christian legend has it that when the Apostles divided the known world into missionary zones, people do Camino de Santiago until 9th century.
This is the most popular route. It begins in the Pyrenees and has two variants depending on where you choose to enter: Roncesvalles (through Navarre) or Somport (through Aragon). Both routes meet in the town of Puente la Reina, and then continue on through the territories of La Rioja and Castile-León towards Galicia. We are going to explain how to do the route from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela.

Where should I start?
On the Camino francés we started at Sarria to just fulfill the 100-km requirement for compostela. But no matter which route you follow, remember that the path is, in essence, just a long path.
How long does it take?
There is no simple answer to this question. Whether on foot or bicycle, how long pilgrimages will take many variables, such as what kind of terrain you will be crossing, how much distance you want to cover each day, the weather, how many rest days you wish to take during the pilgrimage and, obiously, your physical abilities.
